Open Letter to Mr. Glover.

Mr. Glover,

I have read the column you published on the Jamaica Observer, I have to say, that I read it twice and slowly to make sure I understood what you were trying to convey on those lines that I do believe you wrote with great passion. First off all, I would like to be honest from the start saying I do not agree with you. I do not believe that you’re writing this in favor of democracy and/or in favor of the Venezuelan people but in favor of a regime that has invested in you in the recent past.

That been said, I also would like to point out few things you mention on your letter:

Regarding Secretary General Luis Almagro you said that he is “waging an interventionist campaign against one of our beloved Caribbean neighbours” which if that is true and you are brave enough to denunciate. I am wondering why you kept your mouth shut when the Venezuelan regime was waging an interventionist campaign around their neighbours? Sending briefcases with money to illegally support political campaign in countries such of Argentina, Ecuador and most recently discovered Spain? Is not this to have a double-face?

You also mentioned that Venezuela “has done so much in recent years to lift up the voice of its African descendants and those of the region” I am wondering if you believe this because the VP is an African descendants? Or because you truly believe and have any prove that I haven’t seen in all these Revolutionary years? I do believe that the only African descendants as you call it on your column, that lives a good live in Venezuela is in fact the VP, the rest of the people of ANY race/religion in the country live their live in a line to buy BASIC product to live which NEVER has happened in the country until this band of outlaws took power and “control” of everything.

Mr. Glover, you pointed out that Venezuela is “facing economic hardship in the midst of a global oil economy experiencing its deepest downturn since the 1990s” and “that there is little evidence of a breakdown of institutions or an illegitimate Government. These statements appear to be nothing more than opposition talking points which the secretary general seems intent on reiterating.” Well, let me call you on your own bullshit because before what you described as an economy hardship due a global oil economy, Venezuela was floating on money which went right into the pockets of the bandits that also gave you money for a movie that nobody has seen yet and hopefully you’ll show soon to people that is starving or dying in a hospital because the lack of medicines. Also, to continue to call you on your own BS, the regime has since day one sabotage the National Assambley which was elected by the people, using their judges which received lots of money –probably as you did- to keep them in power.

Now, I have had call you Mister 3 times along this letter but, to call sombody Mister I believe is a sign of respect which I do not have for you as you has shown not to have for the Venezuelan people but for the regime which is killing them.

Rgds,
Ronald Quintero.
